Although she is the Princess of Derby Lane, Husker Magic is one tough chick. She's as big as most of the boys (often weighing in on race nights close to if not 70 pounds) and quite frankly she's faster than most of them. 

 

After getting her start in October of last year, she's been at this for a little more than a year and already compiled over fifty wins,an amazing feat considering she's been in the shadow UGR #1 greyhound Joey Ice, who has beaten her on seven occasions. 

 

Husker Magic is a tenacious breaker and early speed is her game.  The 68lb “blonde” female is another early speedster who is quick out of the box, rarely beaten to the turn and when she finds herself on top early; she's incredibly tough to run down. In 2014, we witnessed her compete in four stakes races:  2nd in the Gold Trophy Juvenile (undefeated in the qualifying rounds), 3rd in the Fall Sprint, 4th in the Sprint Classic and was a T.L. Weaver Memorial Finalist. 

 

Husker Magic is from an incredible litter that is approaching 200 wins through fourteen months of racing. She is still in search of that elusive stakes championship victory which should come soon as she continues her race career.
