Atascocita Act’s late addition to the BetAmerica Daytona 550 is in step with his late running style.  The 76lb male youngster from Gulf Greyhound Park has caught the attention of many greyhound followers with his powerful backstretch move.  If you are not familiar with Atascocita Act, just take a glance at his race lines and the “last to first” and “incredible performance” comments will say it all.  In fact, do yourself a favor and watch his last couple of races!  Act most likely will be last out of the box, but this just allows him to see the field and size up his competition.  Once he makes his move he is all business. Atascocita Act’s running style will no doubt add even more excitement to the Daytona 550.

Owner George Ulmer believes this could be one of the best greyhounds he has ever owned-and that is saying a lot, as Act’s sire, Atascocita Bowl, was one of the fastest greyhounds ever at Palm Beach.  Following Atascocita Act’s run for the National Championship,  plans are to send him to Naples for the 3/8 Derby, and then off to Southland.  Will Act take the National Champion title with him to West Memphis?
